About the event
"Fiddlin' Down the Tracks" takes place on Friday, September 16 and Saturday, September 17. The Senior and Senior-Seniors divisions take place on Friday and the remaining divisions take place on Saturday.
Contestants for "Fiddlin' Down the Tracks" are grouped by age. Each Fiddle division contestant has four minutes to play three tunes: Hoedown, Waltz, and Tune of Choice. Other divisions require only one to two tunes. Contestants are not permitted printed music on stage, but accompanists may use printed music as needed. A copy of the contest rules is available on our Resources page. There is a discount available for all CSOTFA members.
Categories also include Twin Fiddles, Cello/Bass, Junior and Open Picking, Junior and Open Novelty, Special Divisions, and the Junior and Adult Band Scrambles.
