Fiddlin' Down the Tracks

"Fiddlin' Down the Tracks" will be a one-day event, taking place on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Contestants for "Fiddlin' Down the Tracks" are grouped by age. Each Fiddle division contestant has four minutes to play three tunes: Hoedown, Waltz, and Tune of Choice. Other divisions require only one to two tunes.  Some divisions may require two rounds.   Contestants are not permitted printed music on stage, but accompanists may use printed music as needed.  A copy of the contest rules is available on our Resources page. There is a discount available for all CSOTFA members. 

Winners of fiddle divisions may play a third round to compete for Grand Champion at the end of the event.  Fiddle division winners are entitled to be a Certified Showcase Participant at the National Oldtime Fiddle Contest in Weiser, Idaho in June, 2023.

Categories also include Twin Fiddles, Cello/Bass, Junior and Open Picking, Junior and Open Novelty, Special Divisions, and the Junior and Adult Band Scrambles.
